Antonio Conte holds his press conference following Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.

The Italian made eight changes to the squad that lost to Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup midweek semi-final and that gave players plenty of minutes looking to break through in his eleven. usual departure.

However, once again a heavily turned Tottenham side struggled as Morecambe, currently 21st in Ligue 1, took the lead just after the half hour mark with captain Anthony O’Connor losing Japhet Tanganga into the box to shoot point blank.

Conte had to make a triple change after the hour, with Lucas Moura, Harry Kane and Oliver Skipp replacing Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Bryan Gil.

Ndombele sparked anger from the crowd as he slowly left the pitch on the other side, delaying the change with the loss to Tottenham.

To boos from the crowd as a whole and despite the arrival of his teammates, Ndombele continued his slow walk and then headed straight into the tunnel.

The triple change helped turn the game around, as did Harry Winks’ long free-kick which curled over everyone and tucked into the corner of the net for the equalizer.

Lucas then shot the Spurs in the lead after dispossessing Ryan McLaughlin and sprinting down the pitch before rounding the goalkeeper and hitting the ball home.

Kane secured the win late, turning his man over after Giovani Lo Celso’s pass and shooting goaltender Trevor Carson.
