Tottenham live press conference: Antonio Conte on bad defense, Tanganga, transfers and Chelsea

Antonio Conte holds his press conference following Tottenham’s 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
The Italian made two changes to his Spurs squad to face his former side, who themselves made six changes to their squad with Romelu Lukaku back in the starting lineup.
Chelsea took the lead just five minutes after a terrible run behind Spurs’ backs.
Japhet Tanganga played a back pass to Emerson Royal and Marcos Alonso intercepted it and passed to Kai Havertz with his low shot deflecting into Davinson Sanchez’s net.
Tanganga was involved again in Chelsea’s second goal, on a free kick against the shoulder of Ben Davies and the ball bounced past Hugo Lloris and into the corner of the Spurs net.
Spurs brought in Tanguy Ndombele for the second half and went from their 3-4-3 formation to a 4-2-3-1, but struggled to find their way despite entering zones more advanced after their first half.
Tottenham will now return to N17 for the second leg due to put in a huge performance to reach the final at Wembley.
Our Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold was among those who questioned Conte after the game.
