He’s my president!

President Biden’s compassion was on display as he signed the PACT Act. It was beautiful to see. As I read the comments I was expecting attacks from fanatical white authoritarian white supremacist party members and haven’t seen one after twenty comments (there are could be there are probably a few unfortunately in the comment replies) and the comments are chicken soup for the soul. They will warm your heart! It’s hard to choose which ones to display!

“I absolutely adore this man, what a good human being…that’s the energy we need from a president, someone who cares about all Americans”

and

“Great job President Biden!!! It is wonderful and uplifting to hear our incumbent President speak with compassion for others, from the heart and with intelligence. Thank you”

and

“Thank you President Biden. Your compassion, empathy, and wisdom go a long way in healing our great country!”

and

“So good to see a president who actually cares about not just our veterans, but ALL Americans!”

and

“Beautiful. Thank you President Biden, thank you Jon Stewart, thank you to everyone who fought so hard and so well for justice. Above all, thank you to our troops (blue heart symbol)”

and

[almost certainly from a republican] “Giving credit where credit is due, I’m very pleased with Biden’s response (no president) (response – interesting choice of words)”

and

“It’s so wonderful to have a worthy president that we can be proud of (red heart)”

and

“I feel like I have PTSD from the TFG years. It’s like a soothing balm listening to President Biden. A human being who seems to genuinely care about others. A leader at who recognizes others and not just himself. A wonderful time!”

and

“Absolutely amazing! That’s what a real president sounds like. It’s about everyone and he didn’t turn it to be about him!!!”

and

“Oh my! As a Registered Republican, I always applaud any public official, regardless of voter alignment. I’m grateful that I didn’t miss this press conference…for so many reasons!

As a career Air Force wife, I care deeply about our veterans, especially those who are vulnerable. Mr. Biden speaks exceptionally presidential!!! We really missed such a sweet, reasonably presented narrative.

If our President Biden has neurological issues, he is completely consistent and clear-headed in this opportunity to ensure the support of our nation’s armed forces. Thank you, President Biden, for also honoring Jon Stewart’s diligent and selfless defense of our veterans. I would be proud to be part of your team!

and

“The love and compassion in our President’s voice is so refreshing after 4 years of haughty insults from the TFG. Thank you so much for that, Mr. President. You are truly a blessing. God bless you always, and God bless the United States and always our brave troops too! prayer symbol maybe an Episcopalian symbol (purple rectangle with white cross) and American flag And thank you Jon Stewart for loudly helping this bill pass … »

and

“I like having a President who has a heart, someone who can not only identify with other people’s problems, but who has lived through them and who has come out of them with compassion. And Jon Stewart, there are no words. Respect, man. You are a force for good.

and

“May President Biden continue to guide us and keep us from an autocracy that several politicians in Washington are pushing us towards and God bless him for helping veterans.”

and

“It makes me really proud of this country – something I haven’t felt in a very long time -“

and

“You know, that’s how it goes. It always takes Democrats about 2 years to start cleaning up the mess of the last Republican in office. I am so happy to have voted for this good man and thank you Jon Stewart for being so brave. Above all, THANK YOU TO ALL VETERANS!!!! You are the reason our country still exists. Your sacrifice and service is deeply appreciated by me and MANY others like me.

and

“I’m so glad Jon Stewart has been recognized for his dedication to getting this law passed. Both Biden and Stewart are class acts.

and

“It’s good to see a president who knows how to comfort people and speak with compassion and emotion.”

and

“Wonderful, no shouting or shouting and a president who knows what kind of sacrifice all veterans and their families have gone through to protect our democracy and our freedom. President Biden has more honor in his little finger than the entire Republican Party. “

and

“This is truly a great moment for President Biden. That’s what a good president does: he cares and recognizes those who sacrifice the most for our country. Well done!”

and

“A warm and gratifying presentation in honor of our well-deserving veterans and their families! Of course, some of our “HURT” heroes also attended the ceremony!!! »

and

“Nobody can say that President Biden is losing his faculties. He is a brilliant speaker, aided by his empathy and integrity. Under no circumstances could Trump deliver this speech.

and

“Such a powerful moment for our president; he has such compassion and is so human. It’s so refreshing!

and

“It brought tears to my eyes… Did Trump thank anyone? No, he would say it was all his fault. Very proud of Biden and Jon Stewart.

and

“It’s so good to have a president who cares about our country and our troops!!!”

and

“No matter what the polls say, this president’s compassion is undeniable.”

and

“Such a wonderful and moving speech. Such warm and genuine applause enjoying a monumental moment! It’s beyond what I expected and so much what we need for our vets. Biden wants the best for everyone. He is not for himself, but for our country! It is very moving ! Kudos to everyone who got us to this point! How many hours spent bringing us here! Well done again!”

and

“Great conversation. It’s great to hear from you after being a stuttering kid. You don’t talk about it much, but I know it’s a great accomplishment every time you talk. That said, I know this touches you, because you lost your son to those burn piles. Thank you to everyone who worked on this bill, and thank you for supporting and enacting it.

and

“Man, this brought me to tears. My deep respect and honor goes to all these daily sacrifices. My heart goes out to my president who I voted for. I lost my daughter in 2005 at age 11 and when he talked about his son. Well, let’s just say I know how he feels. Try to love every minute of the day more.

and

“Bravo Jo! That’s how a president speaks! He inspires, he’s grateful, he cares!

and

“All respect in the world for this man. His words of love for this little girl were so sincere. Love to our veterans.

and

“A well-delivered address from a sane, kind president who encourages us and helps us feel better. No derogatory criticism from others. Oh, how we need such a leader.

and

“As a non-American, I’ve noticed that even watching this brings me a sigh of relief, not to mention your veterans and their families. For many of them, this bill may be too late, but it’s finally signed. I don’t understand why it’s taken so long for this to happen. Good luck to your veterans and my respect to your president”

and

“As a veteran myself (not in the United States), I can say that the United States can be proud to have a president who cares. Very impressive.”

and

“As the son of a Marine, that was a highlight. I think people sometimes forget that in addition to being personal for many, it’s also personal for President Biden. He lost his son in because of that. He’s a much stronger man than me, because I’m not sure I would have been able to stay the course during that speech knowing that I was about to sign something to help people with the same thing that took my child Finally, I also want to acknowledge and thank everyone who was part of the public outcry that emerged when this bill first died in the Senate due to of political machinations that are so far inferior to our military and what they deserve. They refused to let it die, refused to let our military down and did it. Respect.”

and

“The longer this guy has been in the job, the more I appreciate his values, his reason and his experience.”
