White House press secretary Jen Psaki has fired a warning shot against former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter and Google. She said her boss, President Joe Biden, had bigger things to worry about.

A reporter, referencing Trump’s trial, asked Psaki if Biden stands by comments he made during the 2020 election campaign about revoking Section 230 “immediately.” of Washington for the legal guardrails for Big Tech companies that are supposed to give them protections from being held responsible for the content they allow on their sites. Trump argues that these social media giants are unfairly censoring him and other influential conservatives while promoting liberal viewpoints.

“I didn’t tell him about Section 230,” she replied but added that she “[remembers] those comments, and I remember the New York Times article.”

“I will say that in terms of these lawsuits, it’s definitely a decision for the platforms to make,” Psaki continued. “I think it’s safe to say that the president spends a lot less time obsessing over social media than the former president.”

Trump’s lawsuit, announced at a press conference Tuesday in the scorching New Jersey sun at his Bedminster, New Jersey, resort with a backdrop resembling the White House, seeks to overturn his media bans and to force tech companies to pay damages to the rest of the individuals signed the class action lawsuit.

“We demand an end to the shadow ban, an end to the silence and an end to the blacklisting, banning and undoing that you know so well,” Trump said Tuesday. “Through this lawsuit, we are defending free speech for all Americans – Republicans, Democrats, Independents, everyone.”

The lawsuit itself was filed with the support of the America First Policy Institute, a nonprofit group started by former director of Trump’s Domestic Policy Council, Brooke Rollins, and a number of former officials. of the Trump administration.
