The claim: An image shows Olivia Rodrigo and Joe Biden during a White House press briefing
After 18 years pop star Olivia Rodrigo made a trip to Washington encourage young people to get vaccinated against COVID-19, wrong information has appeared online.
The singer-songwriter met with President Joe Biden and his chief medical adviser, Dr.Anthony Fauci, on July 14 to participate in a vaccination campaign on social networks.
Now, some people are sharing a photo that shows Biden touching Rodrigo’s shoulders from behind.
“(White House Press Secretary Jen) Psaki’s face () says it all,” one user of the photo captioned, who has been published July 15 on Facebook.

The photo won 2,000 shares. But it’s manipulated – Biden wasn’t at the press briefing with Rodrigo.
USA TODAY has contacted the Facebook user who shared the post for comment.
Biden was not at the press briefing
the original and unmodified photo shows Rodrigo and Psaki in the James S. Brady press room on July 14th.
Biden is not in the picture, and he does not appear for the entire duration one hour press conference.
After his visit to the White House, Rodrigo and Biden shared photos on social media.
None of these images show Biden with his hands on Rodrigo’s shoulders. They show the duo take selfies and wear aviators.
Previously misused 2015 Biden photo
This isn’t the first time social media users have shared altered or misleading images to portray Biden as sexually inappropriate.
The image manipulated in the Facebook post uses a photo of Biden in 2015 during the swearing-in ceremony for then-Secretary of Defense Ash Carter at the Pentagon. In it, Biden is shown leaning over Carter’s wife, Stephanie, with his hands on her shoulders.
Reviews of Biden shared the photo ahead of the 2020 presidential election to say he was overly affectionate.
But in March 2019 Medium postStephanie Carter disputed the charges, writing that Biden had leaned over to her “to say ‘thank you for letting him go” and kept his hands on my shoulders as a way to offer support. “

“But a photo taken from a video – falsely taken from what was a longer moment between close friends – sent in a sarcastic tweet – became the lasting image of that day,” he said. she writes.
Social media users have also already shared a modified image of Psaki and Biden and a distorted video of Biden consoling his grandson at a funeral. Allegations of pedophilia against Biden have been demystified by independent fact-checking organizations.

Biden did not appear at the press briefing Rodrigo spoke to. Biden’s photo is from 2015 and has already been shared to describe him as inappropriate.
