Dana White misses UFC 270 presser after NOT winning heavyweight title over Francis Ngannou ahead of new boxing calls

DANA WHITE missed the UFC 270 post-fight press conference following Francis Ngannou’s victory over Ciryl Gane.
Ngannou retained his heavyweight title with a unanimous decision victory over his former sparring partner early Sunday morning in Anaheim, Calif.

After landing his first title defense, Ngannou – who has recently been at odds with the UFC brass – has renewed his calls for boxing.
White did not wrap the belt around the Cameroonian’s waist as he traditionally does after title fights nor did he give his post-fight thoughts to the media in person.
MMA Junkie Journalist Mike Bohn tweeted: “Dana White will not attend #UFC270 post-fight press conference, per PR.
“Quite revealing.”
Ngannou was shocked by White’s apparent decision not to wrap the belt around himself.
He said, “I don’t know [why that happened], you have to ask him.”
He added: “I had nothing to do with it. I think it was their decision. I’m about to ask about it too.”
Before the start of the new year, White claimed the unfortunate Ngannou would be free to leave the UFC once his contract expired at the end of December.
He said, “Look, if you want to be with us, we’d love to have you.
“If you don’t want to be with us, no problem. It’s fine.
“I think his contract, and it comes to mind, if he wins, he still has time with us after this fight.
“He would probably have one more fight.”
Ahead of fight week, Ngannou said he would no longer fight for $500,000 or $600,000 purses and doubled down on his eagerness to face Tyson Fury.
And he reaffirmed his desire to box immediately after taking up the challenge from former teammate Gane.
He told Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview, “As I always say, boxing is still deep in my pocket.

“It’s something I have to do before the end of my career!
“And right now I’m really looking at any opportunity to get that because it’s not like I’ve had a lifetime here.
“Then I better start thinking about it.”
