Chhattisgarh Minister Singh Deo Skips Cong Legislative Party Meeting

Chhattisgarh Minister TS Singh Deo did not attend the Congress Legislature party meeting held here at the official residence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday.
Singh Deo, locked in a turf war with Baghel, gave up one of the five portfolios he held in the Bhupesh Baghel cabinet a day earlier.
The meeting started after 7:30 p.m. to discuss the July 18 presidential election and the monsoon session of the National Assembly scheduled for July 20, a party leader said.
Singh Deo told PTI by phone that he was in Ambikapur (Surguja district), his hometown and constituency, to attend pre-planned engagements and could not attend the PLC meeting.
However, he said he would arrive here on Monday to vote in the presidential elections.
